ROLE
This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of UNICON’s flagship learning programs, initially including the new series called “The Accelerator Series” of five online programs. The person in this role will work closely with the Education Committee and take guidance from the Education Committee chair. The role encompasses program design and promotion through participant recruitment and program delivery—working closely with instructors, marketing, and participants to ensure a high-quality and seamless learning experience. The position blends program development, marketing coordination, business development, and hands-on program operations.
Note: This role, as is the case with all UNICON roles, is a part-time contract position conducted from remote (your location). It is paid at an hourly rate and expected to initially require 10 hours per week with additional hours likely as more educational programming is developed and launched. At the time of this posting, the learning program series included are entirely online. No travel is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Design and Development
- Work with Education Committee, program director(s), and individual instructors to design the learning experience
- Work with program director(s) and individual instructors to develop descriptions of the program sessions for use in promotional materials, including the website pages
Marketing / Promotion – Work with Marketing and Member Engagement Director (MMED), under guidance from the Education Committee, to develop promotional materials and plan
- Provide program description, including information on content, learning experience, and target audience
- Coordinate with MMED to set the plan for promotions, including website, emails, blog posts, etc.
- Ensure MMED has the relevant information to execute the promotion plan
Business Development
- Respond to inquiries via email or hold phone or online meeting conversations with interested parties
- Participate (with program director and/or others) in live online information sessions
Program Coordination
- Schedule class sessions
- Send instructors and participant communication and address any responses/inquiries/requests
- Collect instructors materials and post to GoogleDrive
- Handle all aspects of application process: update web form, process applications, collect fees
- Administer Zoom sessions, to include attending each session, managing breakout groups, recording all sessions and posting the recordings
- In future, if we have in-person sessions, the role will include
- Coordinate in-person sessions, if any, including reserving hotel for participants and instructors, reserving classroom meeting space, A/V equipment
- Provide onsite support to participants and instructors
Budget Management
- Propose and gain approval for program budget, working with the Education Committee co-chairs
- Manage program expenses to meet budget
- Assist UNICON finance person in creating and sending invoices
- Follow up with participants and/or their finance department in the instance of late payments to ensure full payment is received
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience & Background
- 3–8+ years of experience in program management, executive education, professional development, higher education, or a similar environment
- Experience coordinating complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines
- Experience supporting or working with faculty/higher education instructors, subject-matter experts, or other senior professionals
- Experience designing, planning, and delivering virtual events and/or educational programs
- University degree preferred but not required
Program/Project Management Skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage many moving parts simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to take a program from concept through execution
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
Comfortable managing logistics, schedules, budgets, and timelines - Highly organized, proactive, and dependable
- Comfortable working independently in a small, collaborative and distributed (virtual) team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm during live program delivery
- Enthusiastic about learning, leadership development, and creating excellent participant experiences
- In future, if program sessions are in-person: Event logistics experience (venue coordination, catering, A/V, travel/hotel coordination)
Communication & Relationship Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable interacting professionally with faculty, senior leaders, and program participants
- Ability to represent the program in informational calls and webinars with participants from countries around the world
- Strong customer-service mindset and responsiveness
Marketing & Business Development Orientation
- Experience collaborating with marketing teams on promotions and messaging
- Ability to translate program content into compelling descriptions for prospective participants
- Comfort responding to inquiries and speaking with prospective participants
Technical Skills
- Experience with Zoom and virtual learning delivery tools (breakouts, recording, session management)
- Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Google Workspace, document sharing, social media

- This is a work-from-remote role. UNICON is a global organization registered in the United States (US) corporation as a 501c3 corp.
