Dr. Charles Kiamie III is Assistant Dean of Custom Executive Education at Georgetown University‘s McDonough School of Business, where he leads the Program Management Team in delivering transformative executive education experiences.

Charles Kiamie III leads the Program Management Team within Georgetown McDonough Custom Executive Education. He brings nearly two decades of federal government experience, most recently serving as Director of the Office of Development Cooperation at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
During his tenure at the USAID, he also directed the Center for Education and the Office of Local Sustainability, and held Middle East-focused positions at both USAID and the U.S. Department of State. In addition to his executive leadership, Dr. Kiamie has taught comparative politics and Middle Eastern Studies for more than 20 years at The George Washington University.
He earned his Bachelor’s from The George Washington University and has a M.A. and Ph.D. from Georgetown University.
He was a Fulbright Fellow in Jordan and studied Modern Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Oxford. Dr. Kiamie lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his family and enjoys youth development and outdoor activities, including scouting and softball.
