Emily holds the position of Learning Designer for Open Programs at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, Executive Education. As part of her role, she has ownership of the learning design for the entire Open Programs portfolio, developing new programs with faculty and her colleagues, as well as redesigning and refreshing existing programs where necessary, in face-to-face, Live Online, and online formats.

Emily became a part of the Executive Education team in October 2019 as an Administrator for the Open Programs Team. Before her current role, she served as a Programme Manager, and then as Business Development Manager, responsible for a range of Open Programs, including two Flagship programs: Cambridge Rising Women Leaders and the Cambridge General Management Program. Emily also has substantial experience in facilitating programs for prominent Custom clients in the banking sector, in various subjects such as Strategy, Compliance, and Leadership. Her expertise extends to collaborating with international clients and individuals striving to advance their professional and personal career objectives.

Emily’s academic background lies in Education, where she initially trained as a Primary School Teacher, obtaining degrees in Education and English from both Durham University and Bishop Grosseteste University. Furthermore, she contributed as a Guest Lecturer in Lesotho and served as an International Project Manager in Sardinia. Emily is deeply dedicated to crafting transformative learning experiences for individuals at all levels, collaborating with faculty members to enhance the learning process.

In her spare time, Emily runs a local community group and food bank, which she set up during the COVID-19 pandemic, and is an active supporter of refugee rights, working in both Calais for Choose Love, and hosting a displaced Ukrainian citizen through the Homes for Ukraine government scheme in 2022. She lives in a village just outside of Cambridge with two cats and a tortoise, and spends a lot of time ‘thrifting’ in the never-ending quest to be more sustainable.
