At the 2022 Directors’ Conference, UNICON Executive Director Bill Scheurer received the UNICON Lifetime Achievement Award for service to the organization.
The award states:
UNICON honors Bill Scheurer with the UNICON lifetime achievement award for his outstanding contribution to executive education.
In his role as Executive Director of UNICON, Bill Scheurer has since 2006 significantly strengthened our consortium through focusing on value creation and membership engagement. The last years during the pandemic, his initiatives have been key in building new, important partnerships and providing online opportunities for networking.
Bill´s friendly and inclusive leadership style makes everyone in executive education feel welcome and important, thereby creating the glue and energy that shapes UNICON and drives our consortium forward.
Bill had been in the executive education industry at the University of Minnesota for many years prior to accepting the position of UNICON Executive Director. He served on the UNICON board from 1996 – 2002, and was chair in 2001.
Pat Cataldo, board chair in 2011 and UNICON unofficial historian, noted that Bill had attended 43 conferences – 37 live and 6 virtual ones – on six continents. Bill has worked to support 16 different UNICON Chairs.
Bill joins an elite group of UNICON lifetime achievers.
