For UNICON members, IBA Karachi brings deep expertise in leadership and executive learning in Pakistan—and a clear track record of turning consortium connections into real-world collaboration.
In this video, Dr. S Akbar Zaidi announces IBA Karachi’s full membership in UNICON and what it means for executive education and leadership development:
About IBA Karachi and the Center for Executive Education (CEE)
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Karachi, Pakistan, is a pioneer of business and executive leadership development in Pakistan. Established in 1955, IBA’s course contents, curriculum, pedagogical tools, assessment, and testing methods have been inspired by its initial technical supporters, the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Southern California.
The Center for Executive Education was formally established in 2003, offering a diverse portfolio of non-degree, executive education, governance, leadership and management development programs.
"Since receiving confirmation of IBA Karachi’s associate membership in December 2023, we have already begun to realize tangible value from our engagement with the UNICON community. Through relationships developed at UNICON conferences and forums, we have been able to directly engage leading member institutions The responsiveness, credibility, and ease of access to these universities through UNICON has been exceptional."

IBA Karachi UNICON membership: what it means
IBA Karachi’s move to full membership reflects the strength of its executive education community and its commitment to global collaboration. Through UNICON, members connect with peers, benchmark practices, and share ideas that strengthen leadership development across regions. We look forward to welcoming IBA Karachi colleagues into more member activities in 2026—including Coffee Break conversations and in-person convenings—so the wider community can learn from IBA Karachi’s experience in Pakistan and explore opportunities to collaborate.
