Congratulations Eric, Shalini and Nick!

We are delighted to announce some exciting new roles within the UNICON Board 2024-2025.

Please join me in 1) welcoming Nicholas Hamilton-Archer to the UNICON Board of Directors, fulfilling the position vacated by Mark Lewis as he retires from Chicago Booth, and 2) congratulating Eric Bergemann and Shalini Bhatia who have been elected by their fellow board members to the Chair and Vice Chair positions, respectively. The collective expertise of these three and their dedication to the field of executive education will be invaluable in advancing our mission at UNICON.

Eric Bergemann, UNICON Board Chair 2024-2025

Eric Bergemann is a Senior Director of Executive Programs at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he oversees a portfolio of non-degree executive programs, is active in business development, and is the Executive Education capability development leader in Program & Instructional Design Methodology and Improvement.

Eric joined the UNICON Board of Directors in 2020 and served as co-chair of the UNICON Benchmarking and Research Committees, as well as Board Vice Chair in 2023-2024. He was the off-board co-chair of Research from 2014-2016 and Benchmarking 2016-2020. Eric has been a presenter and facilitator at UNICON Conferences since 2008.

He has extensive experience in business improvement methods, operations, administration, and information systems. He is a graduate of Tufts University.

Shalini Bhatia, UNICON Board Vice-Chair 2024-2025

Director, Program and Business Development, Stanford Graduate School of Business, Executive Education

Shalini Bhatia is currently the Director of Program and Business Development at Stanford University Graduate School of Business (GSB) Executive Education where she leads the Program Development team, handles Business Development for Australia, India, and New Zealand and manages a couple programs in the custom and open enrollment portfolios across modalities, allowing her to see our work from end to end. Shalini joined the UNICON Board of Directors in 2020 and served as co-chair of the UNICON Conference Committee. Prior to the board, she was a committee member on the Research Committee. She is the first UNICON Leadership Academy Graduate (2017) to be elected to the board and serve as vice-chair.

Prior to a career in University-based Executive Education, she has had careers in marketing and consulting across various industries and locations across the United States. She holds a M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and a B.A. in Economics and Community Health Certificate from Tufts University.

As former Co-Chair (2020-24) of UNICON’s Conference Committee, Shalini also helped to kick off the planning of our upcoming Team Development Conference (TDC) in November at Nova School of Business and Economics in Portugal:

Nicholas Hamilton-Archer, UNICON Board Member and Co-Chair of the Benchmarking Committee (2024-2025)

Nicholas Hamilton-Archer came to Michigan Ross from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business, where he was Executive Director of Executive Education. Prior to this, Hamilton-Archer held leadership roles in the field of executive education at the University of Colorado, the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business, and George Mason University’s School of Management in Fairfax, VA.

Hamilton-Archer’s international record includes extensive experience in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and South Africa, where he managed strategic initiatives and partnerships and worked collaboratively with multiple government agencies, non-profits, and private businesses.

Hamilton-Archer earned both a bachelor’s degree in government and international politics and a master’s of public administration from George Mason University and additionally holds a master’s in international business from the University of Colorado Denver.
