Team and Job Description:
- The University Partnerships team plays a strategic and critical role in the Emeritus business. The universities we collaborate with trust Emeritus to represent their brand and help expand course access to new customer groups and new markets. The University Partnerships team ensures positive school relationships, driving success for both the university and learners.
- The University Partner Marketing Manager serves as the primary resource and contact for all marketing initiatives with schools. This role is responsible for elevating the value that Emeritus marketing brings to our school partners by serving as the steward for university brands and collaborating with internal cross-functional teams to package new marketing initiatives for approval, as well as analyzing data to track portfolio performance across channels. Through effective relationship management and influencing, both internally and externally, this role enables mutually beneficial school relationships while delivering positive outcomes for learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relationship Management: Foster collaborative relationships and build trust with school stakeholders. Identify and adhere to school marketing agreements, develop a clear process for partnership workflows, and centrally document approvals.
- Develop and Share Insights: Compile, analyze, and communicate key marketing activities and metrics internally and externally. And work cross-functionally to deliver targeted marketing insights and actionable recommendations for school approval.
- Communicate Value: Contribute to and highlight the value that Emeritus marketing brings to universities. Serve as the internal voice of schools in all marketing activities.
- Support Growth: Collaborate across the org to support marketing-related growth opportunities. Develop plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve annual revenue goals and other KPI targets. Partner with school stakeholders to drive marketing outcomes on channels they manage (e.g., school website, social, etc.).
- University Brand Steward: In collaboration with Program Marketing, serve as a steward for maintaining school branding expectations across all content and channels. Develop school-level marketing ‘playbooks’ and influence/advocate for school wants and needs with internal teams.
- Efficient Project Management: Streamline and organize communications and tasks to support the timely and successful management of assigned projects. Enhance workflow efficiencies by defining and implementing clear and replicable processes.
- Secure Approvals: Neatly package new marketing initiatives and opportunities to partners to secure approvals (e.g., email programs, new channels, UX experiments).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 7 years of marketing experience is required, with at least 2 years in account management and/or a marketing role in higher education. Experience working directly with a university marketing team is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge and understanding of multiple digital marketing platforms, including Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn, landing page and conversion strategies, and end-to-end funnel metrics.
- Experience in having responsibility for supporting the development of go-to-market plans, product positioning, messaging, differentiation, and brand consistency. Must have an eagle eye for reviewing content for style and grammar to ensure quality.
- Must demonstrate professional, clear, and confident communications. This role represents Emeritus to high-level decision-makers at prestigious universities.
- Must have a customer-focused mindset with high attention to detail and focus on maintaining strong, trusted partner relationships.
- Must have the ability to bring order to chaos, easily adjust in a rapidly growing environment, and develop efficient processes

Compensation and Benefits:
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Annual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, location, skills, and experience.
