UNICON Welcomes Three New Board Members for 2023-2024

Aisha Azhar, Dennis Lanham, and Shaun Rozyn begin their terms on the UNICON Board of Directors. They replace last year’s board members Devin Bigoness, Kan Cai, and Peter Methot.

Aisha Azhar
Director, Rausing Executive Development Centre, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)

Aisha was appointed to the board to fill a two-year term vacated by Kan Cai of Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance. Aisha heads LUMS Executive Education and currently serves as the Director of the Rausing Executive Development Centre. She leads executive education strategy, client relationships, program design, development and execution across In-person and digital mediums.

Along with a comprehensive program portfolio, Aisha has led the development of pioneering program initiatives with a trans-disciplinary focus; in the area of board governance, agribusiness management, women entrepreneurship, diversity, customer-focused innovation and HE leadership

Aisha has more than 18 years of experience; 8 years in financial markets doing extensive work in enterprise assessment, asset valuation and lending to businesses operating in oil & gas, power, digital services, software and industrial manufacturing industry. Prior to LUMS, Aisha served as Associate Director of Corporate & Client Coverage at Standard Chartered Bank where she managed a portfolio for corporate and public sector entities.

 

Dennis Lanham
Sr. Assistant Dean and Executive Director, Silicon Valley Executive Center, Santa Clara University

Dennis was elected to the board for a six-year term. He is a seasoned learning and development executive leader with 20+ years of combined experience in university-based executive education, global member services and program management. Dennis’s most recent accomplishments include nationally recognized corporate director education programs which are helping to drive authentic diversity in the boardroom.

Before moving to California, Dennis led university-based executive education centers in Nebraska and Georgia. Prior to his career in executive education, Dennis worked in nonprofit administration as the director of member services for Phi Beta Sigma in Washington, D.C., and spent several years in student affairs and program management.

A native of Dallas, TX, Lanham holds a B.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas, an M.S. in Higher Education from Florida State University, and an MBA from Georgia State University. In addition to his career in executive education, Dennis is an adjunct professor in the Marketing Department at Santa Clara University, where he teaches Executive MBA, evening and online MBA, and undergraduate business students.

 

Shaun Rozyn
Managing Director, Executive Education and Lifelong Learning, Darden School of Business, University of Virginia

Also elected to the board for a six-year term, Shaun has over 17 years of experience in global higher and executive education. Shaun held executive roles at institutions including the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), the business school of the University of Pretoria in South Africa, where he served as the Executive Director of Executive Education. During his tenure, GIBS became a Financial Times top-40 ranked executive education provider.

In his prior role, Shaun headed the Executive Leadership Development team at the Saudi Arabian Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC). Notable career achievements include establishing the GIBS/Harvard Business School partnership program for African executives, which is now in its fifth year of delivery. He also designed the Bloomberg Financial Journalism Program for Africa and the General Electric African Leaders program.

Shaun’s core capabilities lie in building leadership development experiences, instructional design of learning programs, and strategic business development. Shaun holds a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Stellenbosch, an MBA from GIBS, and executive development certificates from prestigious institutions including Harvard Business School, UVA Darden and the Institute for Management Development (IMD.)
