Our Value to Our Members

UNICON membership keeps you and your team at the forefront of the executive development landscape, enabling you and your team to compete and win in the marketplace in the ways best suited to your school.

Membership and active participation in UNICON activities provides the following value to members:

You and your institution will be part of a consortium of the world’s leading providers of University-based Executive Education (UBEE) and be able to display the logo of UNICON reflecting the quality of your unit and programming, raising your credibility at the country, regional and international level.

You and your institution will be invited to the three annual conferences and other dedicated events that are hosted by member schools from the consortium. The Directors conference brings together senior leaders to focus on strategic issues at UBEE’s. The annual conference convenes leaders focusing on a core theme. The team conference is a larger conference that addresses core themes and then allows functional specialization, namely business development, program delivery and management, and then program administration. Members tell us the true value is the ability to form personal networks and relationships, seek out collaboration opportunities, and learn from the expertise of other members.

You and your institution will be able to influence, contribute to, and receive access to leading-edge industry research and events to assist your leaders and team members to stay informed on critical issues impacting the UBEE industry.

You and your institution, if you contribute, will gain access to the results of an annual industry benchmarking survey that reports aggregate, regional, and segmented data on key performance areas relevant to UBEE providers. You can also benefit from purchasing peer-benchmarking reports.

Every one of your team members has the opportunity to join groups of 5-8 peers for curated conversations in quarterly “coffee-group” virtual dialogue.

You and your institution can enroll and contribute to The UNICON Learning Community on the Volute platform. Discussion topics include leveraging technology, marketing and program design, and industry trends and disruptions. As an extension of The Learning Community, leaders and staff can arrange their quarterly coffee-group virtual talks on the Volute platform which enables additional communication and item-sharing as well as AI note-taking of your live meet-ups.

You and your institution can enroll in the UNICON Leadership Academy. Now in its eighth year, the academy attracts about 25 global mid to senior-level UBEE aspiring leaders that aim to develop their strategic mindsets and leadership capabilities to grow and expand their organization’s impact. The Academy is led by two experienced Emeritus Board members.

You and other leaders from your institution, should they meet the criteria, can be selected to be members of the UNICON committees. These committees include membership, research, benchmarking, communications, conferences, continuity, and finance. Service on these committees allows colleagues to network globally throughout the year providing individual and school visibility with peer schools. It can also act as a pathway to UNICON Board membership.

You and your institution would be invited to special convenings of member schools to engage on issues where the collective voice is more impactful than members engaging individually. An example is when UNICON engaged the Financial Times publication to understand their UBEE ranking criteria better, given the impact that changes in rankings had on the commercial operations of member schools.
