One of the premier centers for graduate education, research, scholarship, and creative activity in the United States, the University of Maryland houses over 200 graduate degree programs, including 83 doctoral programs, enrolling nearly 11,000 students from every state in the union and from around the globe. The University confers approximately 600 doctoral degrees and 2,200 masters degrees annually.
The Graduate School has recently launched a number of exciting and innovative new initiatives, including new fellowship and training grant opportunities for doctoral students, and has collaborated with several of the University’s colleges and programs in advancing equally innovative initiatives related to specific disciplines.
