Executive Education is responsible for the development and management of GSB’s non-degree program offerings. The mission of our organization is to “use GSB faculty ideas to inspire global leaders to change their thinking and drive positive impact throughout their organizations.” Executive Education also provides an ideal vehicle for the GSB to experiment with innovation in both content and pedagogy.
The Executive Education Product and Business Development team of the Stanford Graduate School of Business seeks an Associate Director of Program Development. Program development is a collaborative and iterative process involving faculty, corporate client partners, and other Stanford units, to create meaningful and impactful learning experiences for senior corporate executives. The Associate Director, Program Development is responsible for program and curriculum design across in-person, online, and blended modalities. This could be in the context of creating open enrollment programs for individual leaders, custom programs for clients from organizations around the world, or other educational products.
This is a full-time, hybrid position with a minimum requirement of 2 days per week onsite.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Working with senior Stanford GSB faculty, senior corporate executives, and or Stanford Teaching and Learning Hub to craft and develop impactful, high-quality Executive Education programs across various teaching modalities – in-person, online (synchronous and asynchronous), and blended.
- Gaining and maintaining a deep understanding of faculty teaching content and how that content translates to organizational development and leadership development needs.
- Assessing custom client learning and development needs and designing programs that leverage Stanford learning assets and environments to help clients reach their goals within their target parameters.
- Contributing to program proposals, focusing on the curriculum design, in concert with our business development colleagues and faculty, and being part of the team presenting program proposals to prospective clients.
- Synthesizing complex ideas and effectively communicating with multiple stakeholders throughout the life of the program development cycle. This includes
- participating in exploratory conversations, leading the program design process, and maintaining involvement through program delivery, evaluation and enhancement.
- Facilitating program enhancements and/or creating new program concepts.
- Reviewing and analyzing learning and executive education trends to develop recommendations for new offerings.

- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
- MBA or Masters of Education degree and 7+ years preferred.
- Instructional Design and/or Learning Experience Design (LxD) experience preferred.
The expected pay range for this position is $116,849 to $135,000 per annum.
