Ranked by the Financial Times among one of the top executive education globally, the unit runs over 160 programs annually ranging from 2-3 day interactive workshops to week-long immerse leadership transformation programs alongside delivering highly customized learning solutions to Canada and Asia’s leading organizations. The unit is seeking an organized, highly motivated, collaborative individual who is experienced in the university-based professional development landscape to join as the Program Manager, Open Enrolment.

The Position:

The role of the Program Manager, Open Enrolment is to support the effective design, delivery and quality control of world-class open enrolment executive education programs and consequently to the growth and profitability of Sauder’s Executive Education business.

The incumbent will contribute to the program design and program management work flow processes for Executive Education. They will be responsible for leading management and delivery of programs which encompasses the coordination of all aspects of the client experience, starting with a smooth transition from business development to continuous client satisfaction monitoring and client engagement improvement.

The incumbent will work with the Directors to understand a client’s professional development needs. They will also work with key faculty members to ensure that client needs are materialized, and is responsible for the program performance against both financial and quality measures. The role also involves joining Directors in meetings with senior executives and managers of regional, national and international companies, and significant interaction with internal individuals and teams, service providers, and participants.

Work Performed:

  • Leads day-to-day program design and develops, delivers and evaluates the programs, including logistical arrangements for delivery of the programs
  • Responsible for in-depth needs analysis and the planning of the programs, day to day oversight and coordinating the faculty, and ensuring the major logistical and technical requirements are communicated to the coordination team
  • Ensures effective selection and deployment of innovative educational technologies to support teaching and learning, including in-person, blended, and fully online delivery models
  • Manages overall client relationship including identifying new business opportunities
  • Selects faculty/instructors and monitors performance across the program
  • Monitors the participant experience in each program to ensure a high level of satisfaction
  • Manages budgets for each program to ensure accuracy and for financial reporting


  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • International exposure and experience, intercultural sensitivity and ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultures
  • Proficiency in learning technologies, platforms, design tools
  • Ability to negotiate agreements and contracts
  • Solid financial management skills and ability to develop budgets
  • Excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills and client management experience
