About the Role

In embarking on a new era of growth and impact, Melbourne Business School is seeking an outstanding leader to become the Deputy Dean Executive Education. This role will be integral to the School’s next chapter. This Deputy Dean provides leadership and management for the School’s Executive Education function and programs, with operations across Australia and the Pacific region in the form of customised client solutions and short course programs. The role is responsible for the function’s strategic direction and financial outcomes, including growth in revenue and profitability, and the overall quality and competitiveness of its offerings including the client/learner experience, to differentiate MBS in the market.

As a member of the School’s Senior Leadership Team, the Deputy Dean Executive Education will be a key contributor to the development and execution of the School’s strategy and major decisions arising as part of the School’s operations.

This is a 5 year fixed term appointment.

Key Attributes for the Role

  • As a high quality candidates for this role, you will have significant executive and/or senior leadership experience in leading the growth and development of executive education within a world-renowned business school or professional services organisation. You will have demonstrated success in leading business operations, inclusive of business planning and P&L responsibility with experience in challenging markets and complex organisational environments.
  • You will have well-developed networks in both the business community and other sectors. You will draw on excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the presence and ability to articulate a compelling story to corporate and public sector clients and other external stakeholders.
  • A PhD in a relevant discipline combined with strong academic achievement and profile commensurate with the standing of the School is also required.
